Hence, it's definitely part of my decision-making process.

I find it somewhat irritating that people put Sen. Clinton on a pedestal for supposedly "forgiving her husband." It's not forgiveness when it's ongoing. She's doing it for her career, because she knows she'd be toast without him.

On her own merit, I do not see the appeal in Sen. Clinton. Never have. She's a fighter, I'll give her that much, when the fight will enhance her electability. She had the opportunity to fight against granting President Bush preemptive war powers, and decided not to do that out of a calculated decision that it would derail her career.

BTW, way back when she first started running, when she and Bill were separately doing stump speeches about her possible running, he had his bimbo with him at at least one of his stump speeches in San Francisco that I attended. I'm tired of that. I don't want that in the WH anymore. It was bad enough then, it would be worse now. We need to focus on the job at hand, and not on the co-president's inability to maintain his marriage vows.good girl roxiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18008397025910041954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31730692.post-34313503044525211752008-03-18T09:23:00.000-04:002008-03-18T09:23:00.000-04:00I agree that it's none of my business. You were not in her shoes. You cannot understand her reasoning. And furthermore, it really is none of your buisness.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31730692.post-41199186324598324912008-03-18T01:08:00.000-04:002008-03-18T01:08:00.000-04:00One more comment on this, after I read your post a...One more comment on this, after I read your post at my site. These candidates can't possibly know what they're going to do with Iraq once they take office. All they can really honestly tell us now is their philosophy and what they know about what is going on and how they think they might have handled things differently than Bush has. The rest of it is all just filler, campaign blah-blah. This is why I vote for the person who I think has the best character for the job, someone who I think will have the best judgment and will honestly try to do what (s)he thinks will be the best thing to do for the situation at hand, and not for their political career or their political friends or their campaign promisees. On this, I am firmly in the Obama camp.

Here's another thing about Sen. Clinton that I don't usually share, because of how it might be misjudged by others. Hillary Clinton married a man she knew was a womanizer. She had a child with him. She has sat back and forgiven him for his breaches of trust with her and their marriage. I cannot respect that, being a woman of about her age. It shows an incredible willingness to sacrifice your honor for your career, and that, in my opinion, is a major flaw in character. It's one thing to sacrifice your honor for the sake of your family, for your children, but for your career? It really shows that she is confident that she would never have attained her level of political accomplishment w/o him. I don't like that. My friends are more their own person than Hillary Clinton is. I want more than that from a president.good girl roxiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18008397025910041954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31730692.post-24654730177393501462008-03-18T00:58:00.000-04:002008-03-18T00:58:00.000-04:00She's doing the same kind of abrupt turnaround on ...She's doing the same kind of abrupt turnaround on the topic of our use of private paramilitary companies in war. She's just talking, saying whatever she feels she has to say to stay in the running. This is how she and Bill have been during their entire political careers. I linked to a videoclip of Jeremy Scahill discussing this at my site, but I just noticed you've been there and watched it.good girl roxiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18008397025910041954noreply@blogger.com
