Law and Order Republicans

It used to be that the GOP thought of themselves as the law and order party.

My, how things change. Two items today:

1. In violation of House rules, John Boehner uses a url that isn't tied to his own name. And when the House administrative officer tells him to fix it, Boehner tells him to bugger off. If the House administrative officer had any cojones, he'd shut Boehner's site down.

2. John McCain told he can't exit the FEC. McCain says, to heck with the rules, I'm opting out anyway.

I humbly suggest a new slogan.

The Republican Party: Rules are for the other guys.

Which House rule has Boehner violated? I didn't see it specified in your post, the ThinkProgress post, or the Roll Call article, just asserted by a Democrat appointee. Does globalwarming.house.gov violate the same rule?

FROST: So what in a sense, you're saying is that there are certain situations, and the Huston Plan or that part of it was one of them, where the president can decide that it's in the best interests of the nation or something, and do something illegal.

NIXON: Well, when the president does it that means that it is not illegal.

You don't read well anon.

Domain names may not be a slogan or imply that the “House endorses or favors any specific commercial product, commodity or service,” Ventura added.

Earmark reform is a slogan. Global warming isn't. It's a scientific fact.

Furthermore, if the House administrator tells Boehner to do it, isn't he is a position of authority over the House site? Is it up to Boehner to just say, "no"?
